Toni Jennings served as Florida’s first female lieutenant governor; two-term President of the Florida Senate; successful business woman and fifth grade teacher.
A skilled consensus builder, Ms. Jennings helped shape key public policy initiatives important to Floridians for nearly 30 years, culminating her career as Florida’s 16th Lieutenant Governor serving with Governor Jeb Bush. A native of Orlando, Ms. Jennings currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Jack Jennings & Sons, Inc., commercial general contractors and construction managers, founded in 1948.
In addition to the Nemours Board of Directors and the Florida Board of Managers, Ms. Jennings serves on the boards of Next Era Energy, Brown & Brown, Inc., SunTrust Bank of Central Florida, the Winter Park Health Foundation and the Florida Council of 100.
Ms. Jennings brings to Nemours extensive knowledge of health care policy and participation in children’s issues.
