Listening to Our Patient-Families

On top of taking time to listen to your needs during your visit and always being open to your ideas, we've also created ways to continually receive and take action on your feedback.  Providing an exceptional experience is something we take seriously. 

Our dedication is shown through our Family Advisory Councils, patient satisfaction teams, incorporating patient satisfaction ratings into our employee performance appraisals, and professional surveying conducted by the research firm, Press Ganey.

Many patient-families like yours receive Press Ganey surveys after their child is seen at any one of our Nemours practices. They’re asked to provide feedback on their experience. Press Ganey then collects and analyzes the results for us continually so we can see how we’re performing and responding to the needs of our patient-families.

Ranked in the Top 20% in Key Patient Satisfaction Areas

Based on our 2010 Press Ganey survey results, Nemours' medical practices rank in the top 20% of pediatric health providers in these key patient satisfaction areas:

  • Time spent with patients
  • Concern for questions and worries
  • Efforts to include patient-families in decisions
  • Care received during the visit
  • Explanation of medical condition or problem
  • Information about medications
  • Instructions for follow-up care
  • Sensitivity to patient’s needs
  • Likelihood to recommend the practice
  • Likelihood to recommend the care provider

Along with patient satisfaction ratings, Press Ganey surveys give families the opportunity to share their thoughts about their experience with Nemours specialists and care providers.
