Problems with rhyming - Problems with separating and blending sounds in words

- Persistent reversals of letters and words
- Slow, labored reading
- Slow, labored reading
These are just warning signs.
Your child cannot be diagnosed as having dyslexia through this list alone. However, if your child is in Pre-K, having him/her screened through Nemours BrightStart! is a good idea! For older children, talk to your child's teacher, pediatrician or a community expert on dyslexia.
For more resources, check out the Parent Resources page for valuable tools, links and suggestions on helping your child become a reader.
