Neurology

The Division of Neurology offers comprehensive services for children with neurological, developmental, learning, and language disorders. Board-certified pediatric neurologists and staff provide a wide array of neurological services, including a comprehensive electrophysiology laboratory. The Muscular Dystrophy Association coordinates their patients through the clinic. The Neurocognitive Assessment program, staffed by licensed school psychologists, provides consultation and psychoeducational assessment for developmental and learning problems.

The Division also has a number of active research programs, a Child Neurology Residency Program and participates in the training of residents from the May Clinic and the University of Florida.

Neurology:

  • General child neurology
  • Comprehensive neurophysiology laboratory with EEG, video EEG, nerve conduction studies (NCV), and electromyogram (EMG)
  • Pediatric Neuromuscular and Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic
  • Epilepsy program

Neurocognitive Assessment Program:

  • Assessment of intelligence, cognitive processing, academic achievement, behavioral, emotional, and social skills
  • Comprehensive neuropsychological assessments are also offered.
