Speech & Language Therapy
The Speech and Language Therapy Program at the Nemours Children's Clinic in Jacksonville provides speech and language therapy for children with a variety of disorders. The therapists specialize in the areas of hearing impairment, cochlear implants, cleft palate, articulation, language, and resonance disorders. Therapists see children individually in a child friendly setting where the child will not be distracted. This ensures the ability of the therapists to conduct accurate tests. The therapists also encourage parents to participate in the therapy process.
The speech pathology team works in conjunction with individual specialties throughout the Nemours Children's Clinic in Jacksonville. This collaborative approach helps ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment. There are regularly scheduled patient care opportunities within the ear, nose, and throat (ENT), gastroenterology, neurology, and the radiology departments.
