Surgery
The Division of Pediatric Surgery at the Nemours Children's Clinic - Jacksonville provides diagnosis and treatment of the surgical conditions of infancy, childhood and adolescence. Services are provided to the residents of Northeast Florida and Southern Georgia. Offices are located in Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach. Twenty-four hour hospital emergency, inpatient and consultative services are provided at the Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Expertise exists in the management of head and neck abnormalities, lesions of the skin and soft tissue, hernia, non-cardiac thoracic conditions, chest wall deformity, endocrine surgery, congenital and acquired abnormalities of the gastrointestinal tract, pediatric tumors, neonatal surgery, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Prenatal consultative services are also available for fetal surgical abnormalities which may have been detected.
The division is staffed by physicians who are board certified by the American Board of Surgery and have demonstrated special competence in pediatric surgery.
