Sleep Lab
The Division of Pulmonary Medicine provides consultation, diagnosis, and continuing care and therapy for infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of acute and chronic lung and airway diseases. Children with apnea, cystic fibrosis (CF), asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, recurrent or acute pneumonia, chronic cough, tuberculosis, and respiratory diseases or neuromuscular disorders are seen on an inpatient and outpatient basis. In addition to the clinical care the division provides in Orlando, its staff travels on a weekly basis to satellite clinics located in Lake Mary (Northeast of Orlando) and Viera (Southeast of Orlando).
The Sleep Center is a four-bed facility that is devoted to diagnosing sleep disorders. This can include sleep apnea, night terrors, sleepwalking and narcolepsy. The Center is staffed with Respiratory Therapists who have specialized in sleep disorders.
