Urology

The Division of Urology at the Nemours Children’s Clinic in Orlando offers evaluation and treatment for children of all ages who have problems relating to the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. A team of board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric urologists evaluate and treat conditions including but not limited to urinary tract obstructions, ureteral reflux, urinary infections, hematuria (blood in the urine), kidney stones, tumors, and neurogenic bladders. The urologists also consult with expectant parents when the familys obstetrician discovers a urologic problem before birth.

The Division of Urology also treats a variety of genital abnormalities. These include undescended testes, phimosis and other problems related to the circumcised and uncircumcised penis, and hydrocele or other related inguinal (a collection of fluid around the testis) conditions. Pediatric gynecology is also an area of special interest. The division also provides a special clinic for children with day and nighttime voiding problems, such as bedwetting and urinary frequency.
