Nutrition
The Division of Gastroenterology at the Nemours Children’s Clinic in Pensacola provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children with diseases of the digestive tract, liver, and pancreas. Problems managed include gastroesophageal reflux, chronic abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver diseases. Special nutritional support is also provided for patients who require it. A full range of services are provided including endoscopy, pH probe studies, breath hydrogen testing, liver and intestinal biopsy, esophageal dilatation, sclerotherapy, and foreign body removal.
The department consists of one physician, two physician assistants, and two nurses. The nurses provides valuable assistance with patient care including procedures, office visits, and service coordination.
