Mentoring and Advisory Committee

The Nemours Mentoring and Advisory Committee (M/AC) is a cross-campus team of senior investigators whose charge is to focus on the research interests of early and mid-level career clinical investigators. With the co-chairs’ guidance, the committee will enhance the academic environment for clinical and research investigators. The M/AC will fill a key need identified during the research strategic planning process for coordinated mentoring programs for clinical research.

Initially, advisory and mentoring activities will focus on clinicians who have established research projects using internally funded protocols, funds from affiliated research programs, Nemours cluster grants, small external grants, or discretionary funds.

The mentor will be available to the mentee to review protocols, assist with completion of necessary regulatory training, help identify necessary resources to complete projects, and will assist the mentee in preparing presentations of results and grant submissions. Each mentee participant will be matched to a mentor (or mentors) from the committee or from partner institutions based on a shared special interest in an area of pediatric medicine and scientific approach.

Please contact us for more information or to submit inquiries about mentoring.
