Pediatric hospitalists are available to provide care for your hospitalized child in cooperation with your child's primary physician. They are also available for inpatient emergency situations and to assist with sedation for procedures outside of the operating room. These physicians offer their expertise for children with complex medical needs who have recently undergone surgery. Alternatively, your child may be cared for by an attending physician from one of the specialty medical or surgical services.
