Host a Fundraiser

Thanks for your interest in hosting an event to benefit Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children or the Nemours Children’s Clinic in your community. Events sponsored by individuals or organizations, known as “third-party events,” raise funds to benefit our young patients, attract new contributors, and build awareness of Nemours.

The Nemours Fund for Children’s Health, the fundraising arm of Nemours, is here to assist and guide individuals and organizations in event planning.

Your event may be something as simple as a bake sale or birthday party, or more elaborate, such as an auction, 5K run, or golf tournament. Not only will the event will be a lot of fun, you and those who attend will have the satisfaction of knowing you’ve helped children.

If you would like to host an event to support the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children or Nemours Children’s Clinic, please review our application process and event guidelines. When you are ready to begin, download and complete the application.

Thank you!

Guidelines

  1. Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines before planning your event. Allow four weeks for the review process to be completed.
  2. Events should be consistent with the mission and image of Nemours. Individuals or organizations that are in conflict with Nemours mission or values may not participate as sponsors. We discourage sponsorship by organizations that do not support the health and well being of children.
  3. If you plan to contact businesses, individuals, or organizations for sponsorship, contributions, or in-kind gifts, you must inform Nemours Fund for Children’s Health. The list of potential business sponsors must be reviewed by the Fund before you approach them. Many individuals and businesses already support Nemours and may not wish to make additional donations.
  4. The event organizer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits, licenses, or insurance.
  5. The Nemours Fund for Children’s Health must approve, in advance, all copy for any promotional materials related to your event.
  6. Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children or Nemours Children’s Clinic may only be identified as the beneficiary of the event. For example, an event should not be called "Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children Bake Sale." Your event should be promoted as a "Bake Sale to Benefit Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children."
  7. Any sponsors and the public should be informed that the net amount will be donated to Nemours. If Nemours will not receive all of the proceeds from the event, then the exact percentage of the proceeds to benefit Nemours must be stated clearly on all promotional materials.
  8. The Nemours Fund for Children’s Health must be notified if there are any significant changes planned for the event. If necessary, the Partnership may at any time ask you to cancel your event. In this circumstance, you must cancel the event and remove Nemours from any and all liability and connection to your event.
