Rosa Baumanis Hakala, Board of Directors

Rosa Baumanis Hakala is Chief Supply Chain Officer for Floor and Decor Outlets of America, an Atlanta-based company established in 2001 that has grown to more than 33 retail locations in 15 U.S. metropolitan markets as well as its online store. Floor and Decor Outlets of America is focused on the residential remodeling segment.

Prior to Floor and Decor, Hakala spent three years as vice president of supply chain strategy and transportation for Best Buy Co., Inc., a multinational retailer of technology and entertainment products and services headquartered in Minnesota.

Before joining Best Buy in 2008, Hakala spent two years as senior vice president, retail sector for Agility, a global logistics company and seven years at The Home Depot, a home improvement retailer.

Hakala joined The Home Depot in 1999 and held various positions of increasing responsibility including director of international logistics and supply chain; senior director of logistics, eastern division; and vice president, international supply chain. In her capacity as vice president, Hakala played an instrumental role in developing Home Depot’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) program and opening Home Depot’s global sourcing offices in China.

Hakala also spent 16 years at Sea-Land Service, Inc. in various leadership roles in sales and operations, including an expat assignment in South America. During her last two years at Sea-Land, Hakala was the general manager for Buyers/Sea-Land Logistics for North & Latin America.

With more than 25 years of experience in global logistics and supply chain, Hakala lends her expertise to several Customer Advisory groups and industry organizations. She also spearheaded the ‘Women in Retail Logistics’ program while lending her expertise at the Annual Logistics Conference Steering Committee for the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA).

Hakala graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree and a concentration in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She resides in Marietta, Georgia, with her husband Terry and is mother to three wonderful young adults, Alexandra, Michael and William.
