Wilmington, DE — On November 9, the D.O. Believe Foundation presented a donation of $25,000 to the Nemours Center for Childhood Cancer Research. The gift was made in support of the research efforts of Dr. Sigrid Langhans, Head of the Cancer Epigenetics Laboratory. The D.O. Believe Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by the family and friends of Dominic, “The Dominator” Osorio who lost his battle with brain cancer just after his 7th birthday. The foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funding for children's cancer treatment and research, with a primary focus on brain tumors.

Nicole Spagna, mother of Dominic and president of D.O. Believe, said, “Dominic faced his cancer with such bravery and spirit. He was beautiful inside and out and I feel his absence every day. The fundraising efforts of D.O. Believe support researchers who are looking for cures for pediatric cancer so that children like Dominic can survive and thrive.” Dr. Langhans’ lab at Nemours is one of just a few in the region dedicated to finding new therapies for pediatric brain tumors.
