Nemours Financial Counselors
Our counselors are on site in our hospitals and clinics to guide you through the financial process. We’re always ready to help:
- design an interest-free payment plan you can afford
- assist you with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment
- identify and help you apply for available state and federal assistance, like the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
- help you apply for funds through Nemours financial assistance programs
- help you apply for discounts through the Nemours Uninsured Discount Program

Medicaid Enrollment
Medicaid is the largest health insurer in the U.S., providing coverage for a full range of medical services for eligible children and families. While the federal and state governments share the cost of Medicaid, each state determines its own benefit packages and eligibility requirements based on federal guidelines and the state’s needs.
Medicaid covers all medically necessary primary, specialty, and emergency care for children, including:
- physician visits
- hospital visits
- well child visits and treatments
- immunizations
- dental care

Finanical Assistance Programs at Nemours
If you can’t afford private insurance and you don’t qualify for your state’s health care programs, you might be eligible for Nemours-funded financial assistance to help cover a portion, or in some cases the entire cost, of your child’s care.
We have several programs available, some for specific medical conditions and others that will discount, or lower, the cost of Nemours medical services. Financial assistance from Nemours is based on financial need.
