Health Information and Technology Week- The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) instituted Health Information and Technology (HI&T) Week in 1989 to educate peers, family, friends, and the public about the critical role played by HIM and HIT professionals in healthcare. The week has continued to grow into an increasingly visible opportunity for education and celebration. HI&T Week is typically held in the month of November.
Medical Transcription Week - National Medical Transcription Week, sponsored by the American Association of Medical Transcription (AAMT) is held the 3rd week of May each year in honor of our Medical Transcriptionists.
Health Information Privacy and Security Week - Health Information Privacy and Security Week, sponsored by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), is designed to raise awareness among healthcare professionals, their employers, and the public of the importance of protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of personal health information. HIPS Week is typically held in the month of April.
