Professional sporting events held annually in Wilmington include the LPGA McDonald's Championship to benefit children's charities. Wilmington is also home to the Blue Rocks, a minor league baseball team that plays in cozy Frawley Stadium, just minutes from the hospital.

Colonnade at Nemours
The Colonnade at Nemours, the opulent former home of Alfred I. duPont, the hospital's namesake. The Nemours Estate is located on the hospital grounds and open to the public for tours.

The beautiful Brandywine Valley offers an abundance of attractions, from wineries and Wyeth paintings to camping and canoeing.
Symphony, Opera, Theater
Wilmington is home to the Delaware Symphony, the Grand Opera House, and several theater companies which perform first run productions as well as host national and international touring companies.
