How Nemours Works With Others
Nemours Children's Clinic in Jacksonville is not a hospital and has no overnight facilities. Patients who need hospital stays are admitted to Wolfson Children's Hospital on the Baptist Medical Center campus. This partnership is to provide a continuum of care for the children in the community. The Jacksonville Clinic is also affiliated with the Mayo Foundation and the Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville. This relationship exists to develop and implement joint programs in medical care, education, and research. The brand new Ronald McDonald House, located across the street from the main clinic, provides additional assistance to the families of patients who have an extended stay.
Nemours' Continuing Medical Education Program sponsors educational activities for physicians and other health care professionals. These programs are designed to meet educational needs, to share recent developments and innovations in biomedical sciences, and to promote collaboration and cooperation between health care professionals. How Nemours Works With You
Patients are seen by appointment from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The clinic is closed weekends and the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Services are covered by most major insurance plans, as well as Medicaid. The clinic expects the guarantor (usually a parent) to pay any insurance deductible or co-payment amount at the time of service. Nemours funding is also available to those who qualify based upon income and other factors.
