Patricia Williams, MD

Dr. Williams, founder of Patricia Day Williams & Associates, comes with over 15 years experience in training, consultation, and coaching in human interaction and organization development. Her clients range from the Penobscot (Indian) Nation Health Department to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She is on the faculty of Jefferson Medical College, American University, and NTL Institute (National Training Labs), and has taught courses on leadership, group dynamics, teamwork, strategic planning and managing change at several universities. She is also one of the select professionals who teach the national Qualifying Workshop and other advanced workshops on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a personality tool widely used in organizational and other settings.

Previously Dr. Williams practiced as a family physician, served as Medical Director of a Rural Health Center and was on the faculty of the Maine-Dartmouth Family Practice Residency Program. She received her B.A. cum laude with Distinction in English from Yale University and her M.D. from Harvard Medical School. She is the author of numerous publications, including a chapter on "Managing Professionals" in Managing in the Age of Change and an article on "Overcoming Physician Resistance" in TypeWorks.
