Linda Bultman, PhD, Director
Linda Bultman, PhD, is Director of the Center for Evaluation and Research. Dr. Bultman oversees all aspects of NHPS' evaluation efforts, as well as public health and community research. Dr. Bultman has an extensive background in statistical/epidemiological analysis and reporting, mapping health outcomes, strategic and organizational planning and development, and data systems development. Dr. Bultman was previously with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), where she was Director of the Research and Public Health Assessment Office, managing the budget, human resources, strategic planning, epidemiology/surveillance and research/evaluation efforts in support of a wide variety of maternal and child health programs. She has been the principle investigator on the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Maternal and Child Health Bureau/CDC reproductive health grants in Texas totaling over $2 million. A graduate of the University of Colorado, Dr. Bultman obtained her doctorate in exercise science with an emphasis in human neuromuscular control systems at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she served on the faculty and acted as liaison on NIH-sponsored research in collaboration with the University of Texas-Austin. In addition, Dr. Bultman has held faculty positions as UT-Austin and Kent State University, Applied Physiology Research Laboratory.
