Community

Nemours Health and Prevention Services (NHPS) supports communities in transforming the culture and environment in ways that provide opportunities for children and families to make healthy lifestyle choices. One of the ways we accomplish this is through collaboration with community-based organizations and coalitions focused on child health promotion. These community partners play a key role in helping NHPS spread the 5-2-1-Almost None message to children throughout Delaware. NHPS supports these organizations by connecting them with resources they can use to promote healthy eating and physical activity among the children and families they serve.

Sussex Child Health Promotion Coalition

NHPS has been working with volunteers in Sussex County to form the Sussex Child Health Promotion Coalition. Visit the coalition website to learn about its members, current activities, and its mission to help children grow up healthy.
