CATCH Kids Club
Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH)
Kids Club is an after-school, summer and community recreation program designed to promote healthy eating and physical activity behaviors to children in grades K-5. CATCH Kids Club includes short lessons on healthy eating and a physical activity component.
The physical activity component of the CATCH Kids Club has four main objectives:
- Involve students in at least 30 minutes of daily physical activity
- Involve students in at least 40% of moderate-to-vigorous (breathless) physical activity during daily physical activity time
- Provide students with many opportunities to participate and practice skills
- Provide students with a variety of enjoyable physical activities
NHPS recently hosted CATCH Kids Club training sessions for the staff of Delaware nonprofit and community-based organizations directly serving children.
