Healthy Quest

Nemours HealthyQuest is an extensive searchable database of parks and playgrounds, recreation and fitness programs, walking trails, YMCAs, gyms, dance and martial arts classes, team sports, produce vendors, cooking classes, and many other services and activities. You can search by address, zip code, or school location. HealthyQuest also provides unique information like public transportation and instructor qualifications, along with driving directions and maps, in printable format.

“Nemours is committed to improving the health of Delaware’s children,” said Debbie I. Chang, MPH, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Nemours Health and Prevention Services. “An important way to do this is by encouraging kids and families to eat well and stay active.”

The National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality (NICHQ) selected Nemours HealthyQuest as one of the most innovative and promising programs addressing childhood obesity. It was presented to healthcare practice and policy leaders at the National Health Care Congress on Childhood Obesity in September 2006 in Washington, DC.
