Trail Challenge

Nemours Health & Prevention Services and Delaware State Parks are working together to increase physical activity opportunities for children and families. We are co-sponsoring the Trail Challenge, which supports the 5-2-1-Almost None healthy lifestyle by providing a fun way for individuals and families to be physically active.

Awards

Delaware State Parks has updated its popular Trail Challenge program. The new program features different levels of participation to win awards and be entered into prize drawings.

Five trails will receive the Explorer Award
Ten trails receive the Advanced Hiker Award
The Expert Hiker Award goes to participants who complete all 15 trails.

Prizes

In addition, registration forms postmarked by Dec. 31 will be entered into a drawing for a first place prize of a five-day, four-night stay in any Louisiana State Park cabin plus $800 travel allowance.

The second prize is a four-day, three-night stay in a cabin in Janes Island State Park, Crisfield, Md., plus $600 travel allowance; and the third prize is a three-day, two-night stay in a cabin in Trap Pond State Park in Laurel, Del., plus $400 travel expense.
