Promoting Health Behaviors in Early Childhood & After School programs

On October 2, events were held at the Del Tech Owens Campus Child Development Center in Georgetown, Sussex County and at the North Dover Elementary School in Kent County to underscore the importance of early childhood and after-school programs in promoting healthy behaviors. In Georgetown, John Hollis recognized the work of the Sussex Child Health Promotion Coalition, now with more than 100 members, in mobilizing an entire community to make the health of its children a top priority. Preschoolers at the Del Tech Center did the "Barnyard Dance" while after-school students at North Dover tackled an obstacle course.
