Nemours HealthyQuest website launches, an online locator to help Delaware families identify physical activity, nutrition and weight management resources in their own communities.

NHPS presents its first Continuing Medical Education (CME) Day on childhood obesity: "Sizing up the Childhood Overweight Epidemic for the Primary Care Provider" featuring NHPS, Nemours, and national experts.

The Sussex Coalition continues to grow – more than 50 member organizations are participating.

NHPS is instrumental in the passage of legislation to increase physical activity in Delaware schools, including statewide adoption of a “FitnessGram” (assesses the physical fitness of students); and funding for schools to pilot 150 minutes of physical activity per student per week.

NHPS publishes the second Delaware Children’s Health Chartbook, focusing on children’s emotional and behavioral health.

NHPS associates present at more than 15 national meetings including the National Health Policy Conference, the National Obesity Action Forum, and the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting.

At the Governor’s Summit on Early Childhood, NHPS is a sponsor and participant.

NHPS’ collaboration with the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health is announced.

The second Nemours Conference on Child Health Promotion is held in Wilmington, attracting 400 attendees from around the region and across the nation. Vision Awards go to a public school in Wilmington and an asthma prevention program in Philadelphia.
