Nemours operates the Kids Health On-Call nurse triage line to provide after hours support for Nemours 13 primary care practices throughout Delaware and Southeastern Pennsylvania.  Don’t be confused by its name, this nurse triage service is not part of Nemours KidsHealth.org web site.  It is a part of the Primary Care Satellite Offices.  If a parent calls their Nemours primary care physician after office hours, on holidays or over the weekend, the call is automatically directed to a triage nurse.  This mini call-center is located near the Green Module.  Kids Health On-Call nurses are trained to triage calls and provide medical advice for common health concerns such as earaches, fevers, traumas, etc.  “We support families and help them manage their child’s care during the overnight hours or, in some cases, refer them to the ER,” says Cheri Clancy, RN, BSN, MS Program Manager of Kids Health On-Call.  In addition to the 20 nurses on staff, Cheri oversees 10 clerks that help keep this service running smoothly, when families need them the most.
