3C South (Medical/Surgical) Care Unit

Nursing Manager: Linda Williams, MSN, RN, CNA, BC

Linda Williams3CS is an exciting and progressive 22-bed medical/surgical unit. Our staff partners with families to provide care for patients with orthopedic, urologic and renal disorders as well as general surgical and solid-organ transplants. Patients range in age from newborn to adults.

A comprehensive orientation is provided in collaboration with our Nursing Education Department. Following a 7 day, general orientation, nurses receive an additional 6 weeks of individualized, precepted, unit-specific orientation. Unit-based Clinical Educators supervise and coordinate orientation, providing frequent feedback and support. Ongoing continuing education offerings are provided within the organization as well as unit-specific education to address the specific needs of unit staff.

3CSThis is a fast-paced unit with opportunities to acquire advanced medical-surgical skills. These include management of post-operative pain utilizing new technologies, peritoneal dialysis, and family teaching and management of post solid organ transplant patients.
