3E (Specialty & Sub-specialty Medical) Care Unit

3E is a twenty-one-bed unit that typically cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to 18 years old. 3E is a general, specialty and subspecialty medical unit with a high population of patients requiring respiratory, general pediatric or gastrointestinal management.

The goal of the unit is to provide safe high quality, high value patient care. Patient focused care is used as the service model. Patient and family needs are assessed, interventions provided and outcomes evaluated based on written departmental policies and procedures as well as multidisciplinary standards of care.
