On Friday, October 16, Nemours and friends gathered at the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium Terrace Suite located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville, Florida to celebrate the Partnership for Children’s Health’s 2nd Annual A Night with Nemours.

The event's net proceeds totaled $130,000 made possible by a combination of ticket sales, a silent auction and philanthropic donations. Special thanks to 41 corporate sponsors and all the individuals and companies for their generous donations. Funds will support patient care and education for children with diabetes, growth disorders and other conditions of the endocrine system, as well as research that will bring the latest advances into clinical practice.

The nearly 350 guests enjoyed cocktails on the beautiful Terrace while viewing a video overview of our current department of endocrinology. Olympic Champion, Shannon Miller, who was named the 2009 Honorary Chair of A Night with Nemours, delivered a speech to the crowd showing her support for the exemplary care Nemours provides. A wonderful dinner was then served inside the suite followed by a night of dancing to the music of Diggin’ Rhythm N’ Brass.

Quentin Groves, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end, was also able to attend who previously visited the Nemours Children’s Clinic, Jacksonville Department of Endocrinology to demonstrate his support of Nemours’ efforts.
