These are the children of Nemours. Your gift helps give them the chance to grow up healthy and free from disabling conditions.

Luke
Luke was born with a serious heart defect. His tiny fingers and toes were turning blue and he gasped for breath when trying to nurse. Luke had to have cardiac surgery at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children's Cardiac Center in his 24 hours of life.

Tanisha
Tanisha was born with a cluster of heart defects called Tetralogy of Fallot. Essentially, the plumbing in her heart was all wrong. She underwent many cardiac procedures during her first few years. Now she is an active twelve year-old who loves to play basketball and sing in the church choir.

Brandon
Brandon and Mia both have sickle cell disease. Sickle cell disease can cause joint pain, acute chest syndrome and many serious health problems. Both children have been patients at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, where they are followed in the Sickle Cell Program.

Tracy
When Tracy was slightly injured in an accident, a chest xray revealed a malignant tumor on her lung. Under the care of a Nemours oncologist in Jacksonville, Tracy had surgery and chemotherapy. Now she is back in school, driving her new car and just enjoying being a teenager again.
