Meet Stuffee

StuffeeMeet Stuffee, the one of a kind ambassador that will make patients smile and at the same time teach them a thing or two about the body’s internal organs.

Stuffee is a 7-foot-tall doll with blue hair and has a zipper down the middle of his chest and abdomen.  Stuffee teaches children in pre-kindergarten through the fifth grade about how the body works internally, and the importance of healthy living and organ and tissue donation.

Stuffee is even an interactive, and hands on doll where children can listen to his heartbeat, take his pulse, and handle soft replica reproductions of the heart, lungs, intestine and other major organs.

Dr. Stephen Dunn, Chief of the Division of Solid Organ Transplantation, is thrilled about the benefits of Stuffee, “Stuffee will enable us to bring the conversation home about the benefits of organ and tissue donation, and the lessons learned from Stuffee will pay off for generations.”

Stuffee was purchased through funds donated by the Auxiliary of the duPont Hospital for Children as a part of its annual Wish List Program, as well as a grant from the Delaware Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Board.

Stuffee is available for visits to schools and other organizations.  Arrange a complimentary visit from Stuffee by contacting our Community Education Coordinator at (302) 651-4026

Stuffee is looking forward to meeting you!
