Associates in the Delaware Valley have a unique opportunity to support the Our Children, Our Hospital campaign for the expansion of Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children through It's All About the Kids. The partnership of each Associate in our capital campaign will help Nemours realize the vision of building a healthier future for children.

Your gift will support the transformation of the Hospital into a health care environment for the 21st century. Single-bed patient rooms with an outside view and sleeping accommodations for parents, family-friendly amenities, a soaring five-story atrium entrance with Welcome Center, underground parking, and many other features that will support family-centered care.
You may choose to make a gift or a multi-year pledge through payroll deduction. Associates whose annual contributions or pledge payments total $1,000 or more will be honored as members of The Nemours Society. Naming opportunities are available at many giving levels.
We hope that every Delaware Associate will participate at a level that is comfortable for them so that they can share in a feeling of pride for our newly expanded hospital.
The purpose of the Our Children, Our Hospital campaign is to raise $20 million to support the expansion of Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital. The campaign is managed by the Nemours Fund for Children’s Health. Many constituencies will be asked to invest in this project, including corporations, organizations, foundations and individuals. The campaign began with requesting support from the Nemours family: Executive Team, Trustees of the Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust, Board of Directors and Board of Managers and physicians. There have also been several seven-figure gifts from corporations.
For Delaware Valley Associates, the Our Children, Our Hospital campaign will be the same as It’s All About the Kids. The campaign goal for Associates in the Delaware Valley is $2 million. Associate volunteers and/or Fund staff will talk with each Associate in a personal or small group meeting. During the meeting, the Associate will receive printed information, a gift/pledge form and have the opportunity to ask questions. The Associate can take time to discuss their gift with spouse and/or family before making a commitment. We hope that every Associate will participate at a level that is comfortable for them.
For the past several years, the Nemours Fund for Children’s Health has worked to encourage philanthropy among Associates with great success. In addition, the Fund has sought contributions from individuals and organizations in the community. In 2010, nearly $4 million was raised to support children’s health. Giving on the part of Associates is entirely voluntary.
When a significant number of our Associates participate, it sends a strong signal that we are willing to invest our own resources in the expansion before asking members of the community for their support. Associates who participate will also be able to take a special pride in the new facilities.
Associates have many choices for supporting the capital campaign. You may choose a one-time gift (check or credit card) or make a pledge commitment extending over 3-5 years. Payroll deduction can be used to fulfill your pledge.
The Nemours Fund for Children’s Health has structured a wide range of recognition opportunities. Associates may choose an engraved brick for a contribution of $500 or other recognition for larger gifts, such as a patient room or waiting area.
Associates who pay $1,000 or more each year toward a capital campaign pledge will become honored members of The Nemours Society, which was established in 2004 to honor and recognize individuals whose annual gifts total $1,000 or more. Members are invited to an annual event, receive a special gift and are recognized in the Fund’s Annual Report to Donors.
