Welcome to Our New Residents!
The Department of Pharmacy just celebrated the completion of our inaugural year as a PGY1 residency. We are very pleased with our first set of graduates, Jennifer Zile, PharmD and John Standish, PharmD.
Jenn has accepted a position at The Johns Hopkins Hospital as a pediatric hematology/oncology unit-based pharmacist and John has accepted a position as a pediatric/oncology pharmacist for the University of Maryland Medical Center.
For the next year, the pharmacy residency program is pleased to announce that we have successfully matched with our top residency candidate, Elizabeth D. Weimer. Elizabeth “Liz” Weimer is a recent graduate of Ohio Northern University-Raabe College of Pharmacy, where she earned her PharmD. At college, she received several leadership honors and was a member of the Dean’s list. During her internship rotations, she obtained experiences in both Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. She is heavily involved in outreach opportunities, coordinating a student mission trip to Uganda in 2008. Please join us in welcoming Liz to our pharmacy department.
