Vomiting with Medications

Many of our patients experience periods of times when they do not tolerate PO meds well. If there is vomiting with medications immediately after taking their immunosuppressants, they should be repeated. If it is within 30 minutes after a half dose should be repeated. If the vomiting episode is after 1 hour of taking the medication then do not repeat a dose. Other non-essential medications do not need to be repeated.
