The Division of Behavioral Health at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is proud to offer advanced practicum training for pre-doctoral candidates in clinical/professional psychology. Each year, six to eight positions may be offered, dependent upon the availability of opportunities and the match of interests between supervisors and externs.
General Information
Within the Department of Pediatrics, the Division of Behavioral Health includes psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers. We have an APA-approved clinical psychology internship. In Psychology, there are currently ten full- and part-time doctoral-level licensed psychologists and six psychology residents (interns), and typically four to six postdoctoral fellows and six to eight practicum students. The Division serves infants, children and adolescents in need of psychological evaluation and treatment. Services are provided to hospital inpatients, outpatients referred from other ambulatory services of the hospital, and patients referred from the community.
