Teaching Conference
The Division of Emergency Medicine at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children also offers many teaching activities including a weekly resident didactic lecture, evidence based medicine journal club, case presentation, mock codes, a monthly fellows seminar, chapter review, as well as monthly divisional research meetings.
The research seminar is a forum that provides fellows the opportunity to discuss new research protocols, updates on current projects, as well as instruction of research methodology and biostatistical analysis. The 2-hour meetings will be led by the research director of the division.
The fellows seminar is an opportunity for fellows to participate in a chapter review of the Fleisher & Ludwig Textbook of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, didactic sessions covering the administrative curriculum, as well as a review of the Journal of the American Medical Association Users Guide.
