Clinical Rotation and Time Allocation

Most core and elective rotations are provided at the duPont Hospital for Children.  Trauma, general emergency medicine, and toxicology, however, are offered off-site.  In addition, fellows can arrange for elective rotations in other institutions.  A letter of commitment with the involved department will be required as well as evaluations and feedback.  During rotations in trauma, adult emergency medicine, and critical care, fellows will have no clinical responsibilities in pediatric emergency services.  During rotations in anesthesia, EMS, toxicology, child abuse, research, and electives, the fellow will have limited clinical responsibilities in the emergency division.
