What is NemoursLink?

NemoursLink provides primary care and referring clinicians with secure electronic access to select portions of their patients’ medical records. This application allows specified non-Nemours health care providers, groups of providers, and/or authorized staff members of non-Nemours health care providers to view the information stored in these medical records. The provider using this system will view this information using a connection from the NemoursLink Partner’s computer to Nemours computer network over a telephone line or the Internet. The method of access uses a World Wide Web browser, such as Netscape or Internet Explorer, to display the information. NemoursLink is a secure, confidential and easy-to-use Internet based tool.

How does NemoursLink work?

Each physician user (or designated non-physician staff) in your medical practice will receive a unique login ID and password to the NemoursLink application. It will be accessed from the nemours.org web site. ** Note you must have a Professional Relations Lisiaon create a user profile to begin using this system.

What is required for my office to participate?

NemoursLink is a free program available to all clinicians that refer patients to Nemours. Each practice is required to sign a Nemours Partner Practice Agreement, and each individual user is required to sign a User Agreement, both of which provide an acknowledgment of responsibilities under state and federal privacy laws and regulations, including, but not limited to HIPAA.

Is there a cost for using NemoursLink?

There is no direct charge by Nemours to access NemoursLink. The only costs would be those to update your computers, browsers or access lines.

Each individual practice is solely responsible for the costs of the equipment, maintenance, and supplies required for access to and use of the NemoursLink. Such costs might include cost of acquisition, installation, operation and maintenance of personal computers and printers; costs related to wiring, hardware, software, phone charges, and Internet access services; and costs of ongoing equipment and supply upgrades.
