What is NemoursLink?
Nemours has a strong interest in improving the delivery and coordination of health care to children. As part of this effort, Nemours has developed NemoursLink, which will provide community-based primary care providers (PCPs) and referring providers secure electronic access to select portions of their patients’ medical records. NemoursLink is a confidential, easy-to-use Internet-based tool that can be used by the PCPs from the practice offices.
What Type of Information is Available via NemoursLink?
NemoursLink enables PCPs and referring providers to review clinical information including outpatient visit notes, laboratory and imaging results, patient demographics, hospital discharge summary, operative reports, and other information regarding patients for whom they are listed as the primary care provider or referring provider.
How is information presented in NemoursLink?
Snapshot View: Offers a one-page summary of clinical patient information.
Chart Review: Allows users to see patient visit notes, lab results, imaging results, medications and other special order results.
Is NemoursLink Secure?
NemoursLink is a secure Internet-based tool that is only available to registered users. User ID and Passwords are required. Confidential patient information in NemoursLink is protected by various state and federal privacy laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
What is required for my office to participate?
NemoursLink is a free program available to all primary care clinicians and referring providers with patients in our care. Each practice is required to sign a Nemours Partner Practice Agreement, and each individual user is required to sign a User Access Agreement. Both of these documents provide an acknowledgment of responsibilities under state and federal privacy laws and regulations, including, but not limited to HIPAA.
