Our Nursing Programs

Nemours nurses have varied responsibilities but one uniting goal: to provide outstanding family-centered care for children.  Our nursing practice is firmly grounded in science, based on national standards, and tailored to the individual needs of each child and family.

Our nurses care for patients and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  They are also involved with quality assurance, marketing, nurse recruitment, research, and continuing education and staff development activities.

Program Quality

At Nemours, we know that how you do something is just as important as what you do. One of the pillars of Magnet® designation focuses on gathering, analyzing, and using empirical data to bring about the outcomes we desire as an organization.

Our nursing staff considers defining and measuring outcomes a major priority. In fact, the Nemours Quality Council has its collective eye on more than 40 quality indicators on a regular basis, including clinical outcomes, patient experiences, consumer attitudes, workforce satisfaction, and other internal performance metrics.

By establishing goals and continuously monitoring benchmarks – and then bringing that knowledge directly to the bedside – we are confident in our ability to achieve ongoing success while raising the bar on patient care, safety, and service.
