Early Learning Center

ELCSt. Helena's Early Learning Center (ELC) is a component of St. Helena's Parish in Bellefonte, DE.  The center continues the schools tradition of excellence in a happy and nurturing atmosphere.  The E.L.C. has been on site at duPont Hospital for Children since 1989.

The Early Learning Center provides a well-prepared environment where children from age six weeks through school age years will have maximum opportunity to develop independence, self confidence, respect for one’s self and others, and a positive attitude toward the pleasures of intellectual activity and learning.

The E.L.C. environment encourages each individual child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. The E.L.C. employs qualified teachers and caregivers to care for children in programs from birth through 12 years of age.

A curriculum is planned to meet the needs of each age group and a daily lesson plan is posted.
