Inpatient Services

The Inpatient Service manages admission of patients with acute medical problems for diagnostic evaluation and treatment. A team of hospitalists (specialists in inpatient hospital care) and residents coordinate medical care for hospitalized infants and children, working in conjunction with specialists as necessary. The Inpatient Service maintains communication with primary care doctors during hospitalization and at the time of discharge to ensure smooth transition of care.

Services Available:

  • Evaluation and treatment of various pediatric medical problems
  • Communication with primary physician
  • Coordination of care for hospitalized children with complex medical problems

  • Dehydration
  • Fever
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Asthma
  • Wheezing
  • Pneumonia
  • Infections
  • Gastroenteritis
  • Sleep apnea
  • Lyme disease
  • Cellulitis
  • Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
  • Acute Life Threatening Event (ALTE)
