Stuffee

StuffeeStuffee is an interactive 7-foot doll that teaches kids how the human body works and why healthy eating and exercise is so important. Stuffee has a zipper down his front that allows students an inside peek at the soft sculpture organs. His heart, lungs, intestines and stomach can be removed for the children to inspect.

Instruction is given by our Community Education Coordinator. The 45 -minute presentation includes information on how the body works and introduces kids to the Nemours 5-2-1-Almost None program. This program advocates eating 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, no more than 2 hours in front of a screen, 1 hour of physical activity and almost no sugary drinks.

Stuffee is available for visits to schools and other organizations for children in pre-kindergarten through the fifth grade. To arrange a complimentary visit from Stuffee, contact Maryanne Bourque, RN, Community Education Coordinator at (302) 651-4036.

Stuffee was purchased through funds donated by the Auxiliary of the duPont Hospital for Children as a part of its annual Wish List program, as well as a grant from the Delaware Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Board.
