Trauma Center Entrance Trauma centers have an important role in reducing the impact of injury by participating and leading prevention efforts. A major impact to lethal injuries that occur prior to patients arriving at a trauma center, can be realized through the implementation of effective trauma prevention programs.

The Injury Prevention Program at AI duPont Hospital for Children is committed to decreasing the incidence of injuries through community-based education efforts. These efforts include our Child Passenger Safety Station, Our in-house Safety Store, as well as teaching programs throughout the community.
