Weight Management Program

A multidisciplinary team consisting of a pediatrician, clinical nurse specialist, psychologist, and nutritionist provides evaluations and treatment for obese children. A treatment plan is developed that addresses weight-related medical problems, such as hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, and sleep apnea. Family involvement is encouraged in identifying eating habits, exercise, and lifestyle patterns that can be modified through nutrition counseling and behavior modification techniques.
