Pediatric Primary Care Services for Your Family

At TLC Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, in association with Nemours, we provide children, from newborns to teens, with compassionate, expert primary care services. Our team values close personal relationships with our patients, and we treat your child, and family, as one of our very own.

TLC Pediatrics is part of the Nemours primary care network called the Children's Health Alliance (CHA), which means our physicians are among some of the most highly-qualified pediatricians in Central Florida. This practice also offers the services of an ARNP, Jennifer Lynch, MSN, ARNP, CPNP, CLC.

Board-Certified Lactation Consultant

Most new mothers get lactation guidance that's provided by the medical facility during their hospital stay immediately after giving birth. Private practice lactation consultants offer extended care and ongoing advice to new moms. At TLC, we are happy to have an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner who is also a board-certified lactation consultant, Jennifer Lynch, MSN, ARNP, CPNP, CLC.

Recommended Routine Visits

Children should be seen for “well-child” check-ups to make sure they’re growing up healthy at:

  • 1 to 3 days after hospital discharge
  • 2 weeks
  • 1 month
  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months (1 year)
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 2 years
  • annually after that

At each visit, we’ll check your child’s growth, development, overall health and give any recommended routine immunizations. It's all part of the excellent primary care pediatrics you can count on us to deliver.

Check out the Your Child’s Checkup Sheets from Nemours’ KidsHealth to find out what to expect at the visit and as your child grows, from birth through age 21.

Walk-In Sick Time Care

For your convenience, we have walk-in sick time available Monday–Friday 7:30–9 a.m. for our established patients. If your child has an acute illness like a sore throat, fever, cough or other routine condition, you can visit us anytime during these hours without calling ahead.

Please note we provide this service on a first-come, first-serve basis only for routine illness, not for well-child visits, complicated problems or follow-up visits. Walk-in sick care is provided by available physicians – if you would like to see a specific provider, please call to schedule a sick-child appointment.

Complimentary Meet-and-Greet Appointments for Expectant Parents

We also offer complimentary, 20-minute informational meetings for expectant parents trying to make a choice about their baby’s primary care pediatrician. This is a great time to meet our doctors and staff, see our facility, and learn more about our practice. Meetings are scheduled on Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. Call us to schedule a time that works best for you.

Working Together for Kids

TLC Pediatrics is associated with Nemours, which means we’re part of a primary care network (called the Children’s Health Alliance, or CHA). By being a part of this network, we’re able to give our patients and families added resources for care and education. This doesn’t change the way we operate our practice — it just enhances the care your family receives.

We’ve chosen to associate with Nemours because it's a nationally-recognized children’s health system that provides outstanding pediatric specialty care, research, education and advocacy (being a voice for children’s health issues). We also share the very same commitment to family-centered care — and pride ourselves in treating every child as one of our own.

As part of the TLC Pediatrics family, you will continue to enjoy the same personal care and attention from Dr. Lacy and his team. And you can continue to receive referrals to any hospital or specialist of your choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do forms and bills say Children’s Health Alliance, an affiliate of Nemours?

This reflects our new association with Nemours. The Children’s Health Alliance (CHA) is Nemours’ pediatric primary care network.

Will office hours, days of service, or policies change?

Our hours and days of service (including Saturdays) will stay the same, as will TLC office policies.

Will my insurance still be accepted?

Yes, all of our policies and insurance affiliations stay the same.

Will Nemours have access to all of Dr. Lacy’s patient information?

If your child needs to see a Nemours specialist, or be admitted to Nemours Children’s Hospital, we will share this information to ensure your child receives the very best care.

Will my child be able to see their current specialists?

Yes, you can still see your current specialists and Dr. Lacy and his team will also continue to make referrals to any hospital or specialist you choose. Dr. Lacy is on staff at Florida Hospital, Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital, and the new Nemours Children’s Hospital.

If you have any other questions about our new association with Nemours, please don’t hesitate to ask Dr. Lacy or our team.
