Board-Certified Lactation Counselor

Private practice lactation counselors offer extended care and ongoing advice to new moms. At TLC, we are happy to have an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner who is also a certified lactation counselor, Jennifer Lynch, MSN, ARNP, CPNP, CLC.

Recommended Routine Visits

Children should be seen for “well-child” check-ups to make sure they’re growing up healthy at:

  • 1 to 3 days after hospital discharge
  • 2 weeks
  • 1 month
  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months (1 year)
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 2 years
  • annually after that

At each visit, we’ll check your child’s growth, development, overall health and give any recommended routine immunizations. It's all part of the excellent primary care pediatrics you can count on us to deliver.

Check out the Your Child’s Checkup Sheets from Nemours’ KidsHealth to find out what to expect at the visit and as your child grows, from birth through age 21.

Walk-In Sick Time Care

For your convenience, we have walk-in sick time available Monday–Friday 7:30–9 a.m. for our established patients. If your child has an acute illness like a sore throat, fever, cough or other routine condition, you can visit us anytime during these hours without calling ahead.

Please note we provide this service on a first-come, first-serve basis only for routine illness, not for well-child visits, complicated problems or follow-up visits. Walk-in sick care is provided by available physicians – if you would like to see a specific provider, please call to schedule a sick-child appointment.

Complimentary Meet-and-Greet Appointments for Expectant Parent and New Patients

We also offer complimentary informational appointments for expectant parents trying to make a choice about their baby’s primary care pediatrician as well as new patients who are considering our practice for their child’s care. This is a great time to meet our doctor and staff, see our facility and learn more about our practice. Call us to schedule your appointment.

Working Together for Kids

TLC Pediatrics is associated with Nemours, which means we’re part of a primary care network which allows us to give our patients and families added resources for care and education. This doesn’t change the way we operate our practice — it just enhances the care your family receives.

We’ve chosen to associate with Nemours because it's a nationally recognized children’s health system that provides outstanding pediatric specialty care, research, education and advocacy (being a voice for children’s health issues). We also share the very same commitment to family-centered care — and pride ourselves in treating every child as one of our own.
