Pediatric Primary Care Services for Your Family
At TLC Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, in association with Nemours, we provide children, from newborns to teens, with compassionate, expert primary care services. Our team values close personal relationships with our patients, and we treat your child, and family, as one of our very own.
TLC Pediatrics is part of the Nemours primary care network called the Children's Health Alliance (CHA), which means our physicians are among some of the most highly-qualified pediatricians in Central Florida. This practice also offers the services of an ARNP, Jennifer Lynch, MSN, ARNP, CPNP, CLC.
Board-Certified Lactation Counselor
Most new mothers get lactation guidance that's provided by the medical facility during their hospital stay immediately after giving birth. Private practice lactation counselors offer extended care and ongoing advice to new moms. At TLC, we are happy to have an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner who is also a certified lactation counselor, Jennifer Lynch, MSN, ARNP, CPNP, CLC.
Signs, Symptoms and Illnesses We See
In addition to providing well-child, preventive care like immunizations (vaccines) and health screenings, we treat children with a variety of common symptoms, illnesses and conditions, such as those listed below.
Does your child have a sore throat or abdominal pain, or a headache that just won’t go away? Review possible causes (and remedies) using the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) symptom checker called KidsDoc.

When Your Child Needs a Specialist
We’re backed by renowned Nemours pediatric specialists who treat nearly every condition at our specialty care outpatient locations throughout Central Florida and at Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando.
We can also help arrange care with any pediatric specialist of your choice outside of the Nemours Children’s Health System.
Making Your Appointment
Being a parent is one of the greatest things in the world. It’s challenging and rewarding — and we’re here to help you every step of the way. You don’t need a referral to make an appointment, just call our office. When you call, we’ll collect information such as:
- your child’s name and address
- date of birth
- parent phone numbers (home and cell)
- insurance information (including parent social security numbers)
- photo ID
- medical and pharmacy insurance cards
- preferred pharmacy name and phone number
- names and dosage of all medications, including over-the-counter medication, your child is currently taking
- guardianship and custody papers, if a legal guardian rather than a parent accompanies your child
Bring this form to your first appointment:
- Release of Information
Children should be seen for “well-child” check-ups to make sure they’re growing up healthy at:

- 9 months
- 12 months (1 year)
- 15 months

- annually after that
At each visit, we’ll check your child’s growth, development, overall health and give any recommended routine immunizations. It's all part of the excellent primary care pediatrics you can count on us to deliver.
Check out the Your Child’s Checkup Sheets from Nemours’ KidsHealth to find out what to expect at the visit and as your child grows, from birth through age 21.
Walk-In Sick Time Care
For your convenience, we have walk-in sick time available Monday–Friday 7:30–9 a.m. for our established patients. If your child has an acute illness like a sore throat, fever, cough or other routine condition, you can visit us anytime during these hours without calling ahead.
Please note we provide this service on a first-come, first-serve basis only for routine illness, not for well-child visits, complicated problems or follow-up visits. Walk-in sick care is provided by available physicians – if you would like to see a specific provider, please call to schedule a sick-child appointment.
Complimentary Meet-and-Greet Appointments for Expectant Parent and New Patients
We also offer complimentary informational appointments for expectant parents trying to make a choice about their baby’s primary care pediatrician as well as new patients who are considering our practice for their child’s care. This is a great time to meet our doctor and staff, see our facility and learn more about our practice. Call us to schedule your appointment.
Working Together for Kids
TLC Pediatrics is associated with Nemours, which means we’re part of a primary care network which allows us to give our patients and families added resources for care and education. This doesn’t change the way we operate our practice — it just enhances the care your family receives.
We’ve chosen to associate with Nemours because it's a nationally recognized children’s health system that provides outstanding pediatric specialty care, research, education and advocacy (being a voice for children’s health issues). We also share the very same commitment to family-centered care — and pride ourselves in treating every child as one of our own.
