Southern Gardens

Moving right from the front of the mansion leads to the Russian gates and the southern gardens. First to be seen is the boxwood garden, a French parterre garden, executed in hybrid boxwood with a charming faun fountain in the center. The parterre garden is the first of three parts in the southern gardens. Steps descend from here into the Four Borders, named for the mixed herbaceous borders.
