Sunken Gardens

Between the colonnade and the Temple of Love, at the far point of the formal gardens, lie the Sunken Gardens and a large lake. The Sunken Gardens were designed by Alfred Victor duPont (the son of Alfred I.) and his architectural partner Gabriel Masséna.
