Nemours Names Miller Director of Ambulatory Surgery Center

Daryl Miller, BSN has joined Nemours, one of the nation’s largest children’s health systems, as Director of its future Ambulatory Surgery Center in Orlando.
Initially, Miller will be responsible for the administrative duties associated with opening the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Once the surgery center has opened, he will oversee the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well- being of all patients. In addition, he will plan, direct, implement, and evaluate the overall clinical nursing practice in Orlando.
Most recently, Miller served as Director of Perioperative Services at Midway Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif.. He received his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Bethel College. A licensed registered nurse in three states, Miller brings more than 20 years experience in ambulatory services to Nemours.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center will be built on Nemours’ children’s health care campus, a 28-acre site along Interstate-4 at Conroy Road. The campus’ first phase will encompass construction of the new surgery center and a children’s clinic and is expected to be completed in 2008.
